    Rosemary

    Rosemary*

Rosemary offers antioxidant and antimicrobial support and assists the formula in reducing irritation and excess moisture. It helps reinforce the tissues’ natural resilience while discouraging the microbial imbalance that leads to recurring infections. Rosemary also promotes circulation and comfort in the vaginal walls.

    Goldenseal Root

    Goldenseal Root*

Goldenseal is the core of this formula. Its high berberine content gives it strong natural antimicrobial activity, particularly against Candida species and bacteria that contribute to itching, odor, and discharge. Instead of acting like a harsh antifungal drug or boric acid, goldenseal works with the tissue, helping the vaginal environment return to its own balanced state. It calms inflammation, soothes irritation, and supports the microbiome’s natural defenses.

    Thyme

    Thyme*

Thyme is rich in thymol—one of the gentlest yet most effective botanical antifungals. It helps reduce stubborn yeast overgrowth while supporting healthy tissue repair. Its warming, cleansing nature makes it ideal for chronic or recurrent yeast issues, especially when the vaginal environment feels inflamed or reactive.

    Extra Virgin Olive Oil

    Extra Virgin Olive Oil*

Hydrates, protects, seals in moisture, and keeps ingredients stable and fresh.

    Black Walnut Leaf

    Black Walnut Leaf*

Black Walnut Leaf is one of the most time-tested botanicals for stubborn skin issues — especially when fungus is involved. It brings a combination of natural compounds that help the skin defend itself, calm irritation, and restore balance.

    Beeswax

    Beeswax

We only source our beeswax from local beekeepers within the USA. (Mostly near NC.) Unlike other countries, the USA has regulations that prevent the use of dangerous chemicals in beekeeping. Unfortunately, many foreign beeswax suppliers, including those labeled as organic, have been found to contain such chemicals. For this reason, we are proud to support American beekeepers and use their pure, natural beeswax in our products.

Note: We cannot technically claim our beeswax is organic, but it is as clean as it can be from a local source.

    Rosemary CO₂

    Rosemary CO₂*

This type of rosemary isn’t steam-distilled or solvent-extracted. It’s made using supercritical CO₂ extraction, a clean and gentle method that pulls out the most active compounds from the plant without heat or chemical residues. That’s what makes it so special.

The extract is standardized in 60–65% organic sunflower oil, which ensures consistency, purity, and predictable potency. While this is not meant to replace preservatives in our formula, it aids with protecting our herbal infusions to keep them bioavailable longer.

    Vitamin E

    Vitamin E (Non-GMO)*

We use a premium, natural form called Bioxan® SF, and it’s very different from regular Vitamin E.

Most “Vitamin E” in skincare is actually lab-made dl-alpha-tocopherol, which the body doesn’t recognize as well. Bioxan® SF is made from real sunflower seeds, so it contains the full spectrum of natural tocopherols.

Because it has a broader antioxidant profile, it shields delicate herbal infusions from heat, light, and air much more effectively than basic Vitamin E oil. This keeps our creams fresher, longer, without synthetic preservatives.

    Tea Tree Oil

    Tea Tree Oil*

Tea tree oil offers broad-spectrum cleansing activity and helps manage yeast and bacterial imbalance. In tiny, carefully formulated amounts—as used here—it supports the herbal antifungals without irritating delicate tissue. Its presence helps clear itching, odor, and burning sensations associated with active yeast overgrowth.

    FAQs

Can I use this instead of an antifungal ointment like clotrimazole or Lotrimin?

Yes. Flare Free is a botanical alternative to drugstore antifungal creams, offering broad-spectrum yeast, fungal, and bacterial support through whole herbs instead of synthetic agents. Many people prefer it because it is gentler, non-burning, and free from petroleum or harsh chemicals.

Does this help with athlete’s foot, ringworm, or jock itch?

Flare Free is commonly used on stubborn fungal infections such as athlete’s foot, ringworm patches, jock itch, and similar conditions. The goldenseal, thyme, and rosemary in the balm have natural antifungal actions that help calm itching, redness, and flaking.

Is this safe for sensitive skin?

Yes. The balm contains only organic herbs, infused oils, beeswax, tea tree in a mild dilution, and vitamin E. Nearly all users find it soothing rather than irritating, even on delicate or inflamed areas.

Can I use this for yeast-related skin irritation or infection?

Absolutely. This is the external-use version of Yeast Free™, and is chosen specifically for vulvar itching, rash, moist skin folds, breast fold irritation, groin irritation, and other yeast-prone areas.

How long does it take to see results?

Many feel relief within the first day, especially with itching or redness. More stubborn fungal areas may require several days to a week of consistent use.

If it is an issue where antibiotics have been taken and it may be more resistant than usual, we recommend use up to 10-14 days consistently while monitoring progress.

Can I use this on my face or under the breasts?

Yes. It can be used anywhere externally where redness, irritation, or fungal/bacterial imbalance appear. Always spot test first if you have very sensitive skin.

Does this work for diaper rash caused by yeast?

This balm can be very effective for yeast-related diaper rash, but only for toddlers and older babies—not newborns or infants under one year. The formula contains stronger herbs such as goldenseal root, black walnut leaf, tea tree oil, and rosemary, which can be too stimulating for very young skin, even though they are excellent yeast fighters for adults.

For babies old enough to tolerate herbal blends (typically 12+ months), Flare Free may help calm yeast-driven redness, bumps, and irritation in the diaper area when applied thinly to clean, dry skin. Many herbs in the formula—especially goldenseal and thyme—are traditionally used to support yeast balance on the skin.

Is this safe for the vulva or external genital use?

Yes — Flare Free is safe for use on the external genital area, and is often chosen for itching, rawness, fungal irritation, or yeast-related rash around the labia, groin folds, or perineum. The formula is gentle, fully herbal, and free of petroleum or synthetic antifungals that can cause burning or imbalance. Most women find it soothing rather than irritating, even on sensitive tissue.

For more direct internal support for women, Yeast Free Herbal Suppositories may be a better option.

Can I use this on my face for fungal acne or perioral dermatitis?

Yes — many people use this balm on small patches of fungal acne (Malassezia folliculitis) or perioral dermatitis because the herbs offer broad-spectrum cleansing and help calm redness and irritation. Apply a very thin layer to clean, dry skin and give it several minutes to absorb.

Because the balm is oil-based, patch-test first to ensure your skin tolerates oils well; some individuals with fungal acne do best using it as a targeted treatment instead of a full-face application.

If your skin responds well, it can be a helpful natural option for reducing inflammation and discouraging fungal or bacterial imbalance.

    How to Use Flare Free

Apply a thin layer of the balm onto clean, dry skin wherever itching, redness, rash, skin tags, warts, or fungal concerns appear. Massage gently until a light, even coating forms. You may leave it exposed to air or cover it with a breathable bandage for deeper absorption.

Use once or twice daily—or even more frequently if needed—especially after showering or any time the skin becomes damp, irritated, or sweaty.
