If your breasts feel sore, swollen, achy, lumpy, or heavy before your period—or you experience ongoing tenderness from fibrocystic breast tissue, perimenopause breast pain, or post-breastfeeding changes—you are not alone.
Breast pain is extremely common, yet often dismissed as “normal.” While it may be regular, that doesn’t mean you have to simply live with it.
This Breast Balm is a gentle, herb-infused salve crafted specifically to comfort tender breast tissue, encourage lymphatic drainage, soften density, and support natural fluid movement through the chest and underarm area. It’s soothing, grounding, and deeply nourishing for monthly breast changes, hormonal shifts, or long-term breast discomfort.
Rather than masking the problem, this balm supports the body’s natural clearing and softening mechanisms, making it especially helpful for cyclical breast tenderness, menopausal breast pain, and tissue changes associated with hormonal transitions.
NOT APPROPRIATE FOR ACTIVELY NURSING MOMS!

Calendula
Poke Root
St. John's Wort
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Sweet Orange Oil
Vitamin E
Beeswax
Thuja Oil
Rosemary CO₂
Calendula
Calendula*
Calendula is soothing, moisturizing, and anti-inflammatory, making it ideal for tender, swollen, or reactive breast tissue. It supports lymphatic flow and brings gentle comfort to monthly or chronic breast soreness.
Poke Root
Poke Root*
Poke root is a traditional lymphatic herb used to soften dense or fibrocystic tissue and reduce congestion in the breast and underarm area. In small, slow-infused topical amounts, it safely encourages fluid movement and eases fullness or ache.
St. John's Wort
St. John's Wort*
This herb supports nerve comfort and soothes tenderness, burning, or post-surgical sensitivity. It promotes circulation, helps ease scar tension, and brings a warm, calming effect to sore areas.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Extra Virgin Olive Oil*
Hydrates, protects, seals in moisture, and keeps ingredients stable and fresh.
Sweet Orange Oil
Sweet Orange Oil*
This cheerful, uplifting oil gently stimulates circulation and supports lymphatic movement. Its bright aroma adds emotional ease and a sense of lightness during massage.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E (Non-GMO)*
We use a premium, natural form called Bioxan® SF, and it’s very different from regular Vitamin E.
Most “Vitamin E” in skincare is actually lab-made dl-alpha-tocopherol, which the body doesn’t recognize as well. Bioxan® SF is made from real sunflower seeds, so it contains the full spectrum of natural tocopherols.
Because it has a broader antioxidant profile, it shields delicate herbal infusions from heat, light, and air much more effectively than basic Vitamin E oil. This keeps our creams fresher, longer, without synthetic preservatives.
Beeswax
Beeswax
Provides structure and a soft, warm texture that melts on contact with body heat and helps the herbs stay on the skin longer.
Thuja Oil
Thuja Oil*
Traditionally used for lymphatic cleansing, thuja supports detoxification and helps ease tissue stagnation. Included in careful amounts, it enhances the balm’s ability to relieve congestion.
Rosemary CO₂
Rosemary CO₂*
A natural antioxidant that helps preserve the oils while supporting circulation and skin vitality.
FAQs
What does poke root do—and is it safe?
Poke root is a powerful lymphatic herb traditionally used to soften fibrocystic tissue, reduce breast congestion, and support swollen glands.
It can be toxic if taken internally, but this topical formula is diluted, safe, and expertly balanced. We use slow-infused poke root—not concentrated extracts—to keep the balm gentle while still effective.
Does this help with lymphatic drainage?
Yes. This balm was specifically crafted for lymphatic support. Poke root, St. John’s Wort, and sweet orange oil help stimulate fluid movement through the breast and underarm area, reducing heaviness, swelling, and monthly tenderness.
Is this safe for use after breast cancer treatment?
Many women use Breast Balm after lumpectomy, mastectomy, biopsy, or radiation to comfort scar tissue and support the lymphatic system. Always consult your oncologist, especially during active treatment.
Can this help with fibrocystic breast tissue or monthly lumps?
Yes. Many women notice softer tissue, reduced fullness, and less soreness with consistent use. Breast massage helps break up congestion and improve fluid circulation, which may ease fibrocystic discomfort.
Can this prevent breast cancer?
No, this is not a cancer treatment or cure. However, breast massage and healthy lymph flow can support overall breast wellness and help you stay aware of changes in your tissue.
How do I give myself a breast massage?
Warm a small amount of balm in your hands. Use circular strokes from the outer breast toward the center, then guide movement up toward the underarm. Spend three to five minutes per breast. This practice relaxes tissue, relieves soreness, and supports lymphatic flow.
How long will one 2 oz. jar last?
Generally 2-4 months, depending on how often you use it and how generously you apply it.
Can I use this during nursing?
No. Because this formula contains poke root and thuja, we do not recommend using it while breastfeeding.
It may be safe to use during breaks of breast feeding, but we recommend to ensure 3-4 hours has passed so nothing topically can transfer to an infant.
How to Use Breast Balm
Massage a small amount of Breast Balm into the breasts, underarms, and upper chest area 1-3x a week. (or just as needed when tenderness occurs.)
Use light, circular motions to stimulate lymphatic movement, then guide the strokes upward toward the underarm to support drainage.
Many women incorporate this balm into their regular breast self-care routine, especially during the days before their period or during perimenopause when tenderness is more noticeable.
You can also apply the balm to the lower abdomen for fibroid-related, cyst-related, or endometriosis-related tenderness.
